Placement Regions View
The Placement Regions view provides a tabular representation of the content of all user-created Placement
Regions for the design. The view allows the user to manipulate the visibility of the Placement Region, and
manipulate the content (the instances constrained to the region) of each Placement Region. The view’s table
will remain empty until the currently active Implementation has been prepared (had the Run Prepare flow
step completed).
By default, the Placement Regions view is included in the Floorplanner perspective. To add the view to the
current perspective, select Window → Show View → Other. . . → Achronix → Placement Regions.
NOTE
Placement regions are only supported for 22iHD devices.

Description
Un-Highlight
Instances
Turns off the highlight color in the Floorplanner view for all instances
constrained to the selected Placement Region.
Highlight Instances
Highlights all instances constrained to the currently selected
placement region with the currently-selected highlight color. The
highlighted results will be visible in the Floorplanner view.
Choose Highlight
Color
Allows the user to change the current Placement Region Instance
highlight color (which is different from the Placement Region overlay
color). This color will be used in the Floorplanner view when the
Highlight Instances ( ) button is pressed in the Placement Regions
view.
Zoom to
Zooms the Floorplanner view to show the selected Placement Region.
Remove a
Placement Region
Removes the selected Placement Region and all associated placement
region constraints from the design.
Save Placement
Regions
Brings up the Save Placement Regions Dialog allowing the user to
save one or all Placement Regions definitions and all associated
instance constraints.

Adds all Instances constrained by the right-clicked placement region
to the ACE Selection Set (as displayed in the Selection View).
